LAA Closure

LAA Closure

The Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) is a region in the heart that increases the risk of stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation. LAA closure is a procedure aimed at closing off this region. Typically performed via a minimally invasive catheter-based approach, the procedure is designed to reduce stroke risk. By blocking blood clots from forming and migrating from this area, the treatment significantly lowers the likelihood of stroke.
